~~Machiavelli
To me the quote "The end justifies the means." by Machiavelli, means that if you commit an action, with a reasonable purpose, that generates an outcome which is beneficial, for an individual or group, it is justifiable. I agree with this quote one hundred percent. Sometimes, stealing, killing, or cheating is the right thing to do.
First of all, if you steal food, for example, for a needy person. In the end, the needy person benefits, the thief stays neutral, but the baker is harmed; however, he only suffers a small amount. Also, if you steal from a crook or con-man, to return the money to the people that where conned. In this case, the crook is brought to justice, and money is returned to the poor.
Also, sometimes killing is the right thing to do. For example, killing a murderer or terrorist is illegal, but a justifiable thing to do because they would kill thousands of others.
Finally, if you are running for a position, for example, and your opponent is deceiving the public and winning their votes, but wants to abuse his power; I believe that it is alright to cheat and win the election because you will help a nation.
