What is a Renaissance Man?

A Renaissance man is a person who is skilled at many different artistic, and intellectual aspects. These include; painting, sculpting, designing, singing, writing, inventing, acting, and others. If you where able to do many of these things you where considered a Renaissance man. Some Renaissance men of late medieval Europe where Leonardo Da Vinci, Michael Angelo, Shakespeare, and many others. These people where very intellectual, as well as great at the arts. These characteristics did not emerge before because of two reasons. One, is that no one was able to devote time to learning, or improving these qualities; and second, nobody in those days cared about the arts, or inventing and designing new things, they where focused on working hard so that they could go to heaven.
